The SLC 180 AMG Line joins Mercedes’ compact roadster range, with a starting price of £32k and monthly PCP repayments from £276.
The SLC 180 is fitted with a 156 hp turbo-charged 1.6-litre petrol engine developing 250 Nm of torqu – enough to accelerate it from 0-62 mph in under 8 seconds and on to a top speed of 140 mph. CO2 emissions are 134 g/km with fuel economy of up to 48.7 mpg on the Combined Cycle.
The two-seater comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, but a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission is available as an option for an extra £1600. Standard equipment also includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Artico seats, Active Brake Assist, cruise control, air conditioning, sports suspension and a sports braking system.
The SLC Sport model line has been discontinued to simplify the range, says Mercedes, with AMG Line trim now the only option.
The SLC 180 AMG Line is on sale now, with first deliveries arriving late this Summer.
