MG opens new central London flagship showroom

MG is celebrating the opening of its flagship showroom in prestigious Piccadilly, London.

This new showroom, part of MG's major expansion of dealerships, is described as 'a significant move for the marque' placing MG in the heart of the growing economy.

Matthew Cheyne, MG's Head of Sales and Marketing, said: "This showroom will act as a shop window for anyone interested in MG. They will be able to take a look at the cars we are selling, get a preview of what the highly anticipated SUV will look like and gain an insight into the modern MG brand and the direction it's going in. We're very much looking forward to welcoming people here."

Tracing its history back to 1924, modern MGs are designed, engineered and assembled in Longbridge, Birmingham. MG's move to London demonstrates the brand's growth and expanding network, as well as its commitment to investing within the UK economy.

Two cars currently come off the Longbridge assembly lines: the MG6 and the MG3 with MG confirming several models are planned for the immediate and longer-term future.

The MG6 is a medium-sized fastback while the MG3 is a new generation, affordable super-mini which can be personalised, so owners have the option of giving their car their own style-statement.

MG was the fastest growing brand in Britain in 2014 accordig to official figures issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and currently has the fastest growing network of dealers in the UK.
