VIDEO: Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing unveil AM-RB 001 Hypercar

A collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing has resulted in a new striking Hypercar - codenamed AM-RB 001. The project saw renowned F1 designer and Red Bull employee Adrian Newey realise his first ever road car - which will be built at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility. Designed around a lightweight carbon fibre structure, the Hypercar features F1 inspired underfloor aerodynamics - promising unprecedented levels of downforce in a road car - and is powered by a mid-mounted V12 to achieve a power-to-weight ratio of 1 bhp per kilogram.

VIDEO: Renault Sport reveals Clio R.S. 16 concept in Monaco

Renault Sport celebrated its 40th anniversary by revealing a special Clio R.S. 16 concept car. Revealed at the Monaco Grand Prix, Renault’s F1 driver Kevin Magnussen took the Clio R.S. 16 for a spin around the famous circuit. Featuring a wider body and 19-inch wheels, the Clio concept is powered by a 275-horsepower 2.0-litre unit borrowed from the Mégane R.S. Trophy-R - along with the cooling and transmission - while the suspension was reworked to match the car’s performance characteristics.

VIDEO: Red Bull entertain crowds in Vienna

As the Formula 1 teams head back to Europe, Red Bull took time out to entertain fans in Austria. A crowd of 60,000 turned out to watch Daniel Ricciardo put his RB8 through its paces in a specially-constructed arena in front of the historic Vienna Rathaus. Marking the return of the Austrian Grand Prix to the F1 calendar, he gave fans a doughnut master-class, while junior GP2 driver Pierre Gasly shredded the tyres of a borrowed NASCAR racer. Ricciardo and Red Bull will be back on the starting grid at the Spanish Grand Prix on May 10.

VIDEO: Lewis Hamilton tests new Mercedes W06

Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to the 2015 Formula1 season in his new Mercedes W06. Hamilton said: “What's exciting is the new car, to get in and see what are the strengths and weaknesses of it, how can you translate that feeling you have to the guys, so I'm massively excited about that part". Meanwhile Jenson Button is optimistic about his chances behind the wheel of the new McLaren MP4-30, which marks the start of a new engine partnership with Honda.

VIDEO: 2014 Auto China Beijing preview

With Auto China 2014 opening its doors this week in Beijing, we take a look at a few of the show cars with star potential. Citroen will reveal its DS 5LS R Concept -- a luxury saloon fitted with lightweight carbon fibre components to maximise the performance from its 300bhp, 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine. Bentley will pull the covers off the Mulsanne-based Hybrid Concept. The luxury car maker's first ever hybrid uses copper as a styling element to highlight its electrical veins, which endow it with an emissions-free, electric-only driving range of up to 50km. Finally, Infiniti will premiere a short film of the Q50 Eau Rouge development prototype being put through its paces by Director of Performance and Formula 1 World Champion, Sebastian Vettel.

VIDEO: Covers come off 2014 Formula 1 cars

The leading Formula 1 title challengers have revealed their 2014 cars ahead of winter testing in Spain. Mercedes unveiled the F1W05 - the first all-new Silver Arrow to hit the track since 1954. Meanwhile McLaren pulled the covers off the MP4-29 with the team admitting they have responded to the disappointment of last year. Ferrari introduced the F14 T, its sixtieth car built specifically for a Formula 1 World Championship and finally Infiniti Red Bull Racing revealed the RB10. Powered by the Renault Energy F1-2014 engine, the team hopes it's good enough to deliver a fourth straight championship. Racing gets underway on March 16 in Australia.
