Peugeot 301 refreshed for 2016

Designed and equipped to move with the times, Peugeot has revamped its 301 saloon.

The first car specifically developed by the brand for the B segment, it targets customers in international markets looking for a what Peugeot describes as a ‘status-enhancing saloon’.

Over 360,000 units have been produced worldwide since its launch in 2012. With passenger room and boot capacity described as the ‘best in the segment’, new bodywork features incorporate the brand's latest stylistic codes including the the vertical radiator grille, headlights mounted flush with the bodywork and Peugeot's signature lighting with LEDs at the front.

On the inside a large 7" touch screen comes as part of a technology upgrade. Fast and accurate thanks to its ‘capacitive technology’, the screen displays images from the reversing camera and the 3D TomTom navigation system. It also incorporates smartphone content using Mirror Screen triple play connectivity.

New engines include the PureTech 3-cylinder petrol engine, while the latest generation EAT6 automatic gearbox, with its Quickshift technology, joins the range on the 1.6L VTi 115hp petrol unit. For Diesels, the 1.6L BlueHDi 100hp engine includes 'record driving comfort and fuel consumption' says the French brand.

Currently there are no plans for the Peugeot 301 to come to the UK.
