Ferrari UK announces 70th Anniversary celebrations

12 Official Ferrari Dealers in the UK have announced their plans to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th Anniversary this year.

A number of local dealer events and parades are planned at high profile locations throughout the summer, headlined by the Limited Series LaFerrari Aperta. The Aperta LaFerrari will also star at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 29 June to 2 July.

After its taking on the Goodwill Hill Climb, the LaFerrari Aperta will be travelling around the Official Ferrari Dealer Network throughout July and into August, where fans will be able to see this exclusive car as part of a display of Ferraris' showcasing the heritage, design and racing history of the Italian automotive brand.

Ferrari Fans are encouraged to share their images of the parades and car displays by using social media tags (#Ferrari70, #WorldTour, #Location e.g. #Lyndhurst or #Exeter) for a chance of their images being included in a collage of Ferrari 70th Anniversary images at the end of the year.

Starting 5 July the LaFerrari Aperta will join Meridien Modena of Lyndhurst at Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. On 9 July 'Carrs' of Exeter are setting up at Plymouth Hoe and on 11 July, Dick Lovett of Swindon will be at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.

On 15 July, Maranello Sales, Egham will be on The Long Walk, Windsor. London's HR Owen Sports Cars will announce a surprise location in Central London for the 20 July.

Two days later, 22 July, Lancasters of Colchester will be on Chelmsford’s Bond Street. 25 July sees Graypaul of Nottingham celebrating the anniversary at Belvoir Castle, Grantham. Graypaul’s Birmingham dealership will be at Victoria Square, in Birmingham on 28 July. 

On 1 August, Stratstone of Manchester will be at Capesthorne Hall, in Macclesfield and the celebrations continue on 4 August as JCT600 Brooklands of Leeds will be celebrating at Roundhay Park, Leeds. 

North of the boarder Graypaul, Edinburgh will be at Holyrood Palace (Broad Pavement Car Park) Queens Drive, Edinburgh on the 8th August and in Northern Ireland Charles Hurst of Belfast will be The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum in the morning, Titanic Slipways mid-afternoon, finishing up at Hillsborough Castle by late afternoon.

The final event on the LaFerrari Aperta’s UK Tour will be Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone, from 22-24 September, where the car will lead a parade of iconic and historic Ferrari cars around the British GP circuit. Ferrari Racing Days is the UK round of the Ferrari Challenge European Series, in which the 458 Challenge makes its final appearance alongside the 488 Challenge which will run solus in the Ferrari Challenge in 2018.
