The new Volvo C30 SportsCoupe has made its world debut at the Paris motor show.
Volvo revealed a display of not one, but five C30 models to the international media at the show, including for the first time the SE Sport with 18in alloy wheels and full body kit available in a stylish two-tone paint finish.
The Volvo C30 SportsCoupe has two doors, four individual seats, a glass tailgate, and is the smallest model in the Volvo range. With a choice of four trim levels (S, SE, SE Sport and SE Lux, prices range from £14,750 for the 1.6S to £22,995 for the range-topping T5 petrol in either SE Sport or SE Lux trim.
The Volvo C30 has no less than eight engines3 to choose from, starting with four-cylinder 1.6 (100PS), 1.8 (125PS) and 2.0-litre (145PS) petrol units and 1.6 (109PS) and 2.0 (136PS) diesels, plus three five-cylinder engines, the 2.4i (170PS) and T5 (220PS) petrol units and D5 (180PS) turbodiesel.
The 220PS T5 performance flagship of the C30 range uses the Volvo designed and manufactured 2.5-litre, five-cylinder petrol engine. The new Volvo C30 range can also offer good fuel economy, with 57.6mpg available from the 1.6D engine on the official combined cycle. The 1.6D also offers the lowest emissions, with 129g/km.
With larger 18in wheels and a full body kit of front and rear spoilers and side sills, the first pictures of the Volvo C30 SE Sport model reveal it looks the closest to the Volvo C30 Design Concept previewed earlier in the year which has already helped generate over 24,000 enquiries for the new model in the UK alone.
Following its world debut at the Paris show, the Volvo C30 will be making its British show debut at the MPH show4 next month.
It is due to arrive in UK showrooms by the end of the year, but is available to order now. |
