Prices and specifications for the all-new Volvo S80 luxury executive saloon are now available ahead of the new model's arrival in showrooms in July.
On the road prices for the all-new Volvo S80 range from £24,375 to £41,725. With the addition of a new SE Sport trim level; there is now a choice of five specification levels - S, SE, SE Sport, SE Lux and Executive, which will be revealed later in the year.
There is also a choice of five engines, two diesels, the 2.4D (163PS) and D5 (185PS), plus three petrol, the 2.5T (200PS) and two new engines, a six-cylinder 3.2-litre (238PS) and a range-topping V8 AWD (315PS).
Every new Volvo S80 also has a modern and distinctive, ultra-slim centre console, which has been developed from the revolutionary floating centre stack Volvo introduced with the new S40 saloon and V50 Sportswagon.
The ergonomically designed seats feature a new generation of Volvo's WHIPS (Whiplash Protection System). Leather upholstery is standard with the SE specification, Sovereign Hide soft leather for the SE Lux, while the SE Sport model offers ventilated and heated leather seats.
For music lovers, there is an 80W Perfomance Sound audio system with CD and six speakers for S models, rising to 160W High Performance Sound audio system with 6xCD and eight speakers for SE models and above. In addition, there is also Volvo's optional Dynaudio Premium Sound audio system offering a 650W output with a digital amplifier from Alpine with Bang & Olufsen PowerHouse ICEPower® technology, 12 Dynaudio® speakers and Dolby® Pro Logic II Surround Sound.
Other new luxury and convenience features include the option of heated washer nozzles, heated rear seats and rear-seat headphone sockets. The S80 also features a Personal Car Communicator (PCC), which is an advanced personal security and convenience feature developed from the Volvo Safety Concept Car (SCC) in 2001. There is also the option of a Clean Zone Interior Package (CZIP) for allergy sufferers, a Collision Warning system and a Bluetooth® hands-free system that detects the driver's mobile phone (once registered) and enables it to be used through the car's loudspeakers without switching or using multiple SIM cards. It also displays caller information on the new S80's information panel and automatically mutes the audio. The all-new Volvo S80 will be available to order from late April. It is expected in Volvo showrooms in July, with first deliveries to customers from August. |
