Dacia announces warranties

Dacia, the budget car marque from Renault, has announced its new car warranty terms ahead of the brand's launch in the UK later this month.

Dacia opens UK order books for the Duster SUV range on 28th June, and the standard warranty for Dacia in the UK will be 3 years/60,000 miles. The warranty will be supported by parent company, Renault.

With established brands offering 5 and 7 year warranties already, Dacia is mindful that British buyers might be wary of considering an unfamiliar brand. To overcome this potential stumbling block it has designed two extended warranty options.

The first upgrade gives a 5 year/60,000 miles warranty for only £395, while an even lengthier 7 year/100,000 miles warranty will also be made available at £850. Each warranty includes Roadside Assistance for the duration of the policy period and covers roadside repair or recovery. The level of cover does not drop in the extended warranty period, outside of the standard three-year/60,000 miles either. The warranty is applicable at the time of registration, while extended warranties can simply be specified at the time of purchase.

The Dacia brand will launch in the UK with the Duster SUV, while the all-new Sandero supermini arrives in January next year.
